No Man's Sky Release date Update: Technical Glitches, Ambitious Features Causing Delay?

"No Man's Sky" may be arriving on June 2016, new reports indicated. This is a tentative date and still subject to change, depending on circumstances. 

Originally set for October 27, 2015, "No Man's Sky" is now delayed until next year. According to some sources, the delay can be caused by some glitches. "Sources said that 'No Man's Sky' is going through technical complications," KpopStarz reported. However, the news publication was quick to clarify that this is not confirmed by developer Hello Games. 

Another report by Christian Today implied the same - Hello Games might be facing some technical difficulties in completing the game, considering the game's scale. "It is no surprise that the title was postponed knowing its eye-popping scale," Christian Today noted. "As stated on the game's website, the much-awaited sci-fi game features an 'infinite' (number of) galaxies," the report continued.

"Infinite purportedly translates to a total of 18 quintillion worlds, which means that tons of work is being done for the title, and not everything will be easy to buff up," the news publication explained.

Hello Games' director Sean Murray may have been keeping mum about what is happening with the development of the delay, causing its delay, but he already once shared that creating the game is not that easy. To finally be able to launch the game, the company still needs to make sure that the gaming experience would be beyond expectations. Murray added that the game is going to be an unprecedented experience for gamers. 

"You can play as a trader, a fighter, an explorer, or kind of a mixture of all three," he explained to PC Gamer. "It's a sandbox game-there are no missions, no quests."

"In some ways it's very much in the genre of game that has become very popular on PC, particularly in Early Access," he explained. "There's more of a focus for us to being a huge world, so you're not under such constant pressure, and you are able to explore, and survive for a little bit longer, but you are vulnerable and you are under threat in that world."

Then there is also the idea that the game would be made compatible with Virtual Reality's Project Morpheus headgear. This is not confirmed yet, but it is a possibility. Going for it could also explain the delay.

"There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way," Murray once told Games Radar.
