Based from a statement made by Motorola's product manager David Schuster, Motorola devices in India and Brazil will get a chance to experience the amazing features of Android 6 Marshmallow. For its global release, the company said it is set to happen gradually in next coming weeks.

Motorola then started giving away the Android M update in the Moto X Style and Moto X (2014).  The upgrade had been released via Over The Air (OTA), and there is no other way to update the device manually. Motorola subscribers will have to wait for a notification to update.

There were other handsets that are set to receive the upgrade. The Droid Turbo, Moto MAXX (2014), and Moto Turbo (2014) are officially approved by the phone manufacturer to receive the Marshmallow OS upgrade. As for Motorola devices, the Moto E series will not get the Android 6 Marshmallow. The highest update it can get is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which has nice visual design and low-key digital assistant.  On other hand, reviewers of Android 6 Marshmallow praised the system's functionality and security features. Android 6.0 Marshmallow does a great job taking care of the Android Lollipop's issues.

Additional features of the Android Marshmallow OS update will include Android Pay, Google Now On Tap, personalized lock screen message, Doze, Fingerprint scanners and a new app drawer.
