Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced this morning that she and her husband Zack Bogue have given birth to identical twin girls.
"Zack and I are excited to announced that our identical twin girls were born early this morning. Our whole family is great!" said Mayer on Twitter.
The Yahoo CEO hasn't disclosed which hospital she delivered the twins, but it is likely a hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area as Yahoo headquarter is located in Sunnyvale, California.
Mayer is currently serving as the president and CEO of Yahoo!, a position she has held since July 2012. Before taking on Yahoo's leadership role, she was a long-time executive and key spokesperson for Google.
Mayer married lawyer and investor Zachary Bogue. She and her husband have a four-year-old son named Macallister.
Moreover, Mayer is a Christian, specifically a Lutheran. According to Fortune, Meyer quoted legendary Green Bay Packers Head Coach Vince Lombardi when she explained how she balanced her life between work, family and community activities.
"One of his sayings was my priorities are God, family and the Green Bay Packers, in that order," she said. Then she offered her own: "I think that for me, it's God, family and Yahoo-in that order."
Just before Thanksgiving, Facebook's CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan also gave birth to a girl, whom they named Maxima Chan Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg and Chan has announced on Dec. 1 their plan to give away 99% of their Facebook shares in their lifetime, currently worth about $45 billion.
