Apple Inc. recently released the powerful iPad Mini 4, but the release date of Ipad Air 3 is still kept under wraps. Now we'll give updates, rumors and specs of the latest gadgets from Apple.
According to MacWorld, the iPad 3 Air could be released in the market in the first quarter of 2016. Multiple tech websites have linked to that report. Moreover, the site gave details about the specs of third-generation Air.
The Air 3 could get an A9X processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, a fingerprint sensor and maybe even a 4K display of 2334 x 3112. If this is true, the device will significantly have improvements from the 1536 x 2048 resolution of the iPad Air 2. The Air 3 will also have thinner body than the Air 2.
For its Camera, Apple said the Air 3 will have an improved sensor and bigger pixels for better low-light performance. Latinos Post published that the device will have an 8 megapixels (rear-facing iSight camera) and 2.1Mp (front-facing FaceTime camera).
The processing and power capacity of Air 3 can compete with topnotch devices in the market. It is rumored to have the new processor chip of Apple -- A9X.
In order to see how powerful this chip is, let's look at the history of Apple devices. MacWorld published that A8X has three billion transistors and offers (Apple says) 40 percent faster performance than the iPad Air 1's A7 chip in most apps and up to 2.5x graphics performance. Now, it would be a big disappointment for Apple users if the company would not make a faster and smarter processor for Air 3.
For the price of iPad Air 3, Alphr tech website estimated that Apple will sell the device for the price of aroud $590, and it will hit the markets by March 2016.
On other hand, let's look at the recently launched iPad mini 4. For Apple users who want to have a smaller tablet, the Mini 4 is worth for consideration. The device is significantly faster compare to its predecessors, thanks to the A8 chip inside.
Yahoo Finance gave details about the other important specs of Apple Mini 4. The website said the gadget is a mile prettier than Mini 3. Mini 4 has 2,048 x1,536 pixel resolution and 326 pixels per inch (ppi) density. It also has a fingerprint sensor for security and in-app Apple Pay purchases, which is a big bonus for multi-person households and avid online shoppers.
In terms of look and feel, the Mini 4 is slightly thinner and lighter than Mini 3. The fourth-generation of Apple Mini series has 6.1mm thickness and weighs 0.65 pounds.
The base model of Apple Mini 4 with 16GB of storage stands at $400.
