The Dallas Cowboys held on to the hope of making it to the playoffs until the very end. Unfortunately, the Tony Romo squad failed to snag the coveted spot. At the moment, Dez Bryant, Greg Hardy and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys athletes are devastated over the wasted NFL season. However, it looks like the months to follow could be beneficial to the football team as they regroup and try to go for another attempt at the title next year.

The lost playoffs hope of the Dallas Cowboys saw Romo finally getting listed under the injured reserve players. The quarterback got his collarbone injured in Week 2 of the NFL regular season. After sitting out the succeeding games, the Dallas Cowboys leader went back on the field against the Carolina Panthers. The Thanksgiving Day football match not only saw the Dallas Cowboys lose to the undefeated NFL team, but also witness Romo get reinjured. The Jerry Jones is currently looking into the practice squad to determine who could be Romo's backup or substitute.

"We'll see what our need is there," said Jones via ESPN. The Dallas Cowboys owner added, "If we see an opportunity to improve the roster that'll be more of a possibility tomorrow than it was today."

Meanwhile, the running back drama in the Philadelphia Eagles roster might see the return of DeMarco Murray in the Dallas Cowboys locker room. Rumors are rife on the growing tension between the Sam Bradford squad and Murray, in which the latter has been disappointed over his lack of minutes in the field. For the part of the Mark Sanchez team, it is said that Murray's attitude has been a huge turn off for the guys.

"The guy is a pro in his preparation and toughness and competitiveness," disclosed an unnamed source, according to NJ.com. The insider reportedly close to the matter added, "But he's also entitled, selfish and condescending. He's a great 'team' guy when he's the guy."

This discontent between the two parties caused some fans to speculate on the potential return of Murray to the Dallas Cowboys locker room. It is widely known that the running back has blossomed in Jones' NFL team, with the Romo squad dominating the league in the past years.

"It is what it is," shared Murray of his limited playing time, according to the CSN Philadelphia. He added, "You always want to contribute as much as you can. We're winning. At the time, that's all that matters. It's different. Obviously I've never been in this situation. But we're tied for first place in the division."
