Oscars 2016 Nominations Predictions, TV Schedule, Date and Time: Will Leo Finally Get His Trophy?

This week, members of Academy will begin to pick Oscar Nominees. The voting started on Dec. 30 and will last up to Jan. 8.  The nominees will be announced on January 14. Now here's what we now so far about the Oscar's TV schedule and nominations predications.

According to Variety, this year's Oscars will be a "hot mess," since there are no frontrunners just yet. So expect it's going to be one exciting year for movie fans.

The 88th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016. Watch it live on ABC.

Here are the predictions for Oscar Nominations:

In the Best Picture Category, Mad Max: Fury Road is starting to seem like a possible winner. Golden Globes nominated the movie for multiple nominations such as Best Picture and Best Director for George Miller's feminist action film.

For the Best Actress award, Rooney Mara for Carol and Alicia Vikander for The Danish Girl are in the lead. On other hand, Jennifer Lawrence may have been snubbed by the Screen Actors Guild, but her Golden Globe nomination will probably lead to her to an Oscar nomination.

However, with all these young actresses, Maggie Smith could sneak into the race for her role in Lady In A Van.

Will Leo DiCaprio get the Best Actor award this year? Many fans appreciated his performance as 19th-century fur-trapper Hugh Glass in The Revenant. Several movie critics also applauded DiCaprio's gut-wrenching scene in the film, where he ate a raw bison liver. But Bryan Cranston and Eddie Redmayne, also seem to be sure things for this category.
