With CES beginning in Las Vegas, many tech companies are taking the stage to make some very big announcements.  One of them is LG, a company that takes up a lot of space on the convention showfloor, and took the opportunity to announce it new smartphones, the LG K7 and K10.  This is what is known about the release date, price, and specs of the K7 and K10, as well as other big events announced at CES.

According to the LG Official News Room, the Korean company unveiled its K Series, a new line of smartphones that have some advanced camera technology and UX features of LG's premium models.  There are two in the series with the K7 and the K10 both have a "glossy pebble" design with a curved modern finish.  They also have LG's new 25D Arc Glass with no buttons along the side, with LTE and 3G models.

The K7 has a 5.0-inch FWVGA with In-cell Touch (LTE) and On-cell Touch (3G).  Its chipset is a 1.1 GHz Quad-Core for the LTE, and a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core for the 3G.  The camera is 8 Megapixels on the rear and 5 Megapixels on the front, with a 2,125 mAh battery.

As for the K10, it is a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch, so this would be the "Plus" sized model.  The Chipset is 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz Quad-Core/1.14 GHz Octo-Core for the LTE, and 1.3 GHz Quad-Core for the 3G.  The camera for the LTE is a Rear 13 MP with front 8 MP or 5 MP, and for the 3G, it is Rear 8 MP/Front 8 MP or 5 MP.  The battery is at 2,300 mAh.

Both of these phones feature Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot, which is an easier way of taking selfies.  Gestures Shot lets users take photos by raising an open hand in front of the lens and clenching it to a fist.  By closing one's hand twice, this will trigger the Gesture Interval Shot for four consecutive photos.    Each mode has flash for shooting in the dark.

According to CNET, the company has not released any pricing or availability information as yet.  Also, the phones will come pre-loaded with Android 5.1 rather than the newly-released Android 6.0, but that could change.

In addition to these smartphones, LG had a lot to announce at their press conference at CES 2016, held at 8:00 A.M. PT on January, 5th 2016.  The company also announced four devices in their LG Signature collection, which are devices that "stays true to the essence".

These four devices were a washing machine, air purifier, refrigerator, and a television, with most of the emphasis on the television.  The Signature OLED TV was designed to complete "eliminate the unnecessary" at 2.57 mm thick, and is essentially a screen mounted on a piece of glass.  In the visual bonuses, the television is mounted on a speaker.

LG concluded their press conference with a word from acclaimed film director Sir Ridley Scott, who was unable to make a personal appearance.  The company is planning on having an advertisement celebrating the 50th anniversary of its first television on this year's Super Bowl, which is also having its 50th anniversary.
