As NetherRealm Studios releases Mortal Kombat XL to users in March, those that love fighting games are also excited to see the release date of Capcom's Street Fighter V for the PS4 and PC in February.  Street Fighter V was first revealed at the PlayStation Experience in 2014, and fans have been awaiting Street Fighter V want to know about its Release Date, Characters, and Collectors Editions with Prices.

As far as the character roster for the game, there are about four new ones.  One of the first characters introduced (Capcom was slowing revealing characters for the game in 2015) was Rashid, a Middle Eastern man capable of manipulating wind.  Another new fighter is Necalli, a wild Aztec-like warrior. The last two include Laura Matsuda, a Brazilian fighter, and F.A.N.G., a member of the Shadaloo Grand Masters.  Characters returning to the game include Ryu, Vega, Alex, Chun-Li, R. Mika, Guile, Nash, Balrog, M. Bison, Karin, Ibuki, Cammy, Zangief, Juri, Birdie, Urien, Ken, and Dhalsim.

Like most games, a Collector's Edition of Street Fighter V is available. According to GameStop, the special edition includes the Game Disc, a 10-inch, fully painted Ryu figurine, 48 Page hardcover art book, DLC cards for some extra bonuses, a one-month subscription to Twitch for Capcom Fighters channel, Digital Street Fighter Comics from UDON, an SFV Soundtrack Sampler, and more.  It costs about $99.99.

For those that want to get even more special editions of Street Fighter V, you can up your game and purchase a special edition PS4 console.  Gamespresso reports that there are four different console variants with two in black and two in white.  The white consoles feature the Street Fighter Logo or fighters Chun Li with Laura, while the black editions feature fighters Ryu, or Ryu with Necalli.  There is also a special theme and original sleeve by artist Yusuke Murata.  These special editions are available for pre-order on Sony Japan's website here for a price of $320.

According to the official Street Fighter website, it is possible to pre-order at retailers like PlayStation Network, GameStop, Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Steam for guaranteed access to the Street Fighter Console Online Beta. There are also exclusive alternate costumes for one of four characters including:  Chun Li, Ryu, Cammy, and M. Bison.

The Street Fighter franchise dates back to the nineties, and is over two decades old.  It is a fighting game that really became a hit in stand-up arcades as Street Fighter II introduced gamers to a whole new world of fighting games that became a hit on the console as well.  Only Mortal Kombat is as significant a franchise as far as fighting games are concerned, and also Tekken

Street Fighter V will be released on the PS4 and PC on February 16, 2016.
