CNET confirmed that the Samsung Gear 360 will be launched during Mobile World Congress ( MWC) at the company's 21 February Unpacked event. The launching will happen at Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona. Traditionally, the South-Korean tech company unveils their latest devices at the event.

The Gear 360 is a compact spherical camera that shoots images at 360 degrees using its two 180-degree fisheye lenses. The device can be connected to a phone via Bluetooth, thanks to its Gear 360 Connect application. It is also reported that the device might be compatible to the latest Galaxy devices.

For interested buyers of Samsung Galaxy S7, Sammobile confirmed that it has Gear 360 compatibility.

The camera features of the device are stunning. It has HDR, exposure control, white balance and ISO setting, and a Liveview option. Users can also choose between 360 (dual lens) or 180-degree (single lens) front cam in shooting images. There's also VR view modes, which includes dual view, panoramic view, and time lapse and looping video. The maximum resolution for dual lens mode is at 3840 x 1920 pixels or 1920 x 1920 pixels in single lens mode.

It is also possible that buyers can watch live events via Gear 360′s video feed live on a connected phone. Imagine watching a courtside-view of real-time NBA games while sitting on your room, surely it would be an awesome experience.
