'The Shannara Chronicles' Season 1 Live Stream, TV Schedule; Episode 5 Recap: Amberle, Wil, Eretris Look For Refuge; Flashback Features Gnome Rebellion

Amberle, Wil, and Eretria are set to find a refuge in "The Shannara Chronicles" season 1 episode 6.

"The Shannara Chronicles" season 1 episode 6 is entitled "Pykon." According to Comic Book Movie, Amberle, Wil, and Eretria are going to take shelter in Pykon, which a snowy Elvin outpost that cradles a frightful secret. Also, Ander and Slanter are set to unveil information on Dagda Mor's forces, as per HW Hills.

In "The Shannara Chronicles" season 1 episode 5, which is entitled "Reaper," a flashback to ten years ago showed how the gnome rebellion had sneaked into Arborlon to kill the king, as per Entertainment Weekly. Aine, Amberle's father, came to fight with the king, but was killed. Then, Prince Ander, Tilton, and cavalry arrived.

The time travel shifts back to the present time, at a point when the Cephelo's rovers ambushed the expedition that is set to find the Safehold. Amberle became a prisoner while Wil and an escort were left to die. With Eretria's newly found freedom, she left the group, but returned to free Amberle and save Wil, along with several escort.

By the time the trio made their way to their destination, the Reaper had already killed the garrison. When it attack them, Cephero led it into an antiquated field of chemical waste and set it on fire, killing the Reaper.

Back in Arborlon, Allanon asked Bandon to reach Amberle through the Ellcrys. They managed to see Amberle's death at Dagda Mor's feet in a vision. In addition, elven villages were attacked by demons and Ander suggested to search for the demon source. He went with Diana and Slanter, one of the gnomes captured a decade ago, as his guide. Also, the changeling killed the king, taking the throne.

According to Den of Geek, the flashback sequence of the episode was one of the highly impressive scenes for the week, along with the brief introduction of Aine to the audience. As per the publication, the Rovers also helped highlight the clash between elves and humans, allowing the audience to realize the race-related issues between the two factions. Furthermore, the appearance of the Reaper led to a point of no return, which is filled with tension and menace.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, "The Shannara Chronicles" follows the storyline of "The Elfstones of Shannara." Set about 300 years following the War of the Races, the show also centers on the exploits of Amberle, Wil, and Eretria, who must fight alongside the last druid Allanon to defend the Ellcrys from death and to prevent the spread of demons across the Four Lands.

The series stars Poppy Drayton as Amberle Elessedil, Austin Butler as Wil Ohmsford, Ivana Baquero as Eretria, Manu Bennett as Allanon, Aaron Jakubenko as Ander Elessedil, John Rhys-Davies as Eventine Elessedil, and Emilia Burns as Commander Tilton.
