Fans thirsty for more information on "Longmire 5" apart from it being the last and final season will be happy to know that more details might be released soon. The Longmire Days Convention is around the corner.

According to Christian Today, more comprehensive season 5 details might be released on the Longmire Days convention to be held in Buffalo, Johnson County, Wyoming. The official town website announced the convention's dates to be from July 8 to 9. This will be the fifth conference of the show and the townspeople's way of showing how grateful they are for the show for making their town popular.

"Longmire's" author, Craig Johnson might make an appearance on the Convention. He might be joined by some of the main cast members of the show. It is also anticipated that actor Robert Taylor, along with the show runners and writers will create a panel to disseminate highly awaited details of the show's upcoming season.

A full-length trailer might even be released on the Convention. The trailer might show the possible storyline and plot points of the new season.

It is also expected that Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Adam Bartley, and Cassidy Freeman might attend the Convention. All of them have made an appearance on the past Conventions, Cartermatt reports. It is highly likely that they will still entertain fans this year.

It remains to be seen if more details will indeed be dished out on those dates. What we currently have now are hardly enough. Here is a rehash of those rumors and reports about "Longmire" Season 5.

When it comes to its release date, rumors have it that it will be released in September 2016. Production is said to take place in Spring. It has also been reported that the next season's episodes will be longer. Each will last for an hour, instead of 40 minutes. This tidbit came from Lou Diamond Phillips himself, who plays Henry Standing Bear.

"We were previously constrained to 42 minutes and as a result, a lot of my work hit the floor. With an additional 20 minutes, we can let those moments breathe and round out those characters and it's a much more cinematic experience episode to episode," the 53-year-old actor told Variety.

Season 5 is reportedly the last of the series, which is a disappointment for the loyal fans who have worked to revive the show for the past two season. However, the news of this update may help bring more attention for the final season of Longmire.
