'Married at First Sight' Season Finale Air Date, Preview: Season 3, Episode 11 Recap

Feb 10, 2016 07:24 PM EST

Last week there were some big conflicts. Vanessa and Tres had a fight, and Vanessa left. Ashley told David that she got a message from a friend that David had asked a girl out for drinks. They've been together for five weeks. In a week and a half, they will make the decision to cut out, or continue on in their marriage. Will each couple be able to work out their differences?

Ashley and David start out the episode with their dilemma about this message that said David had asked a girl out for drinks. He told her that it was a mutual friend, and that he had wanted to talk to someone who might know Ashley and could give him some ideas. Nothing that David says can convince her that he's telling the truth.

David writes Ashley a note trying to explain himself better. Ashley ignores the note, and asks him why he would go ask someone else about her, and why he wouldn't ask her instead. Perhaps it's because you don't answer his questions and let him get to know you?

David goes to Buffalo to see his family and give Ashley some space. He tries to leave a message on the board to let her knows that he still cares. She thinks it's all fake. She tells her friend that she wants to be married to someone who tells the truth.

An emotional David talks to his father at the cemetery where he is buried. In tears, he laments about how he wants to have a family and wants to be a husband to Ashley. He realizes that he is feeling hurt and pain because of how much he loves Ashley, and just because he doesn't feel like he did anything wrong, he knows that she does, so he is willing to do what it takes to make things right.

Ashley says she's willing to give him that chance.

Sam and Neil are living together again at Sam's townhouse until they find a new place. Sam says that Neil is growing on her, and Neil is happy with the changes Sam has made in her feelings toward him. Dr. Logan comes to visit them, and ponders Neil's feelings about living in Sam's place. Physical intimacy has improved between the two, but not kissing or anything more than that. At least they are Dr. Logan encourages them to experience more romantic times together.

They find a new place closer to Sam's work than the last place they lived. This should be a good thing to allow them to live life as a normal married couple, and instead of having her roommate to come home to, she'll be able to rely on Neil for that emotional support. By moving into the new place, Neil feels that Sam is really trying show that she cares about their marriage, and they are getting a deeper connection.

Dr. Logan stops by Tres and Vanessa's because of their big argument where Vanessa just up and left and slept at her apartment for the night- because that's what all married couples do, right? Dr. Logan tells Vanessa that leaving Tres like that is the worst thing she could do for the marriage- especially since Tres was abandoned by his mom. She wants them to plan something romantic for each other and surprise each other.

They hung up the art work that they did a couple of weeks ago together on the wall. Tres' says about the painting,"The beginning was rough, but the end was a masterpiece." He hopes that will ring true about their marriage, as well.

They celebrate their one month anniversary. Tres says that he doesn't think he has ever celebrated a one month anniversary with anyone. Vanessa makes him a gift basket to celebrate 10 things that she loves about him. Tres' surprises Vanessa on her birthday, and Vanessa is pleased with his work.

Next Week

Next week's episode is entitled,'Last Chance for Romance," and will be the bridge before the 'Final Decision' episode. It looks like the couples will be doing some adventurous things like horse back riding, zip-lining, and fishing. The previews make it seem like Neil and Sam are questioning if they'll stay together, but I'm thinking it's more likely creative editing to keep the viewers questioning. Vanessa also seems to be questioning, but again... Can Ashley forgive David and open up enough to see this poor schmuck for how hard he's trying?

Tune in next Tuesday night to find out, or stream here. Married at First Sight will have its season finale on Tuesday, February 23rd.
