The premiere of the sixth season for HBO's "Game of Thrones" is still over two months away but the television network has already released screenshots from the upcoming episodes. But aside from promoting the show, these new photos are serve as updates regarding certain characters who may still be alive.

Readers, however, should be warned that this article contains spoilers, especially for those haven't seen season 5 yet.

Shared through the official Facebook page for "Game of Thrones," the album shows what fans can expect in the upcoming season. One of these is a shot of Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams. The image shows the young Stark in ravaged clothes while holding a bowl. Also, it can be clearly seen that she had gone blind, which was shown in the final episode of the fifth season after she killed Ser Meryn Trant in the House of Black and White.

Another notable photo released by HBO is the one featuring Bran Stark and the Three-Eyed Raven, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright and Max von Sydow respectively. The picture, however, shows Bran standing up. Although it's not yet clear how he's using his legs, since the character has been crippled since the start of the series, some fans suggested that the photo might be referring to some type of dream sequence. This is highly possible since both characters are capable of having lucid visions.

The stills released by HBO also included a photo of Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark helping Alfie Allen's Theon Greyjoy get up to his feet. This indicates that the two characters survived the fall after jumping out of the castle walls in the last episode of the fifth season.

But, probably the photo that all fans are hoping to see is that of Jon Snow, also known as Kit Harrington. Unfortunately, this is not included in the photo album. In short, it is not yet clear if the character is really dead or not.

In the last episode of season 5, Jon was betrayed by his Night's Watch brothers who took turns stabbing. Although he was left alive, the episode ended with the notion that Jon will probably die in the snow alone.

Still, fans are hoping that the character will make a comeback in the upcoming season. One factor that strongly suggests his survival are the other promotional materials released by HBO for the show, one of these is a poster featuring Jon, which indicates that he might still be alive, according to The Week.

The sixth season of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on April 24.
