‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ and ‘Final Fantasy 15’ Release Date, Features; Will These Games Live Up To Their Hype?

Square Enix is a company that has the advantage of holding the reigns to two great franchises of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, but with this great power comes great responsibility.  This is especially true of the latest installments Final Fantasy 15 (to be released sometime in 2016) and Kingdom Hearts 3 (to be released in 2017 at the earliest).  This is the latest news about Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15, and if these games will live up to the hype from fans.

One of the issues with Kingdom Hearts 3 is that this game was announced in 2013, and it probably won't be released until 2017, that's five years later!  Design and Trend reveals several aspects of the new iteration of the game that could make it a worthy installment of the series.

For example, Kingdom Hearts is famous for its use of licensed worlds from Disney.  It is believed that the world from Big Hero 6 will be involved in Kingdom Hearts 3, and there could easily be more.  Of course, this is the company that owns the rights to Marvel comics characters, Star Wars, and even Frozen.  Considering the fanbase around those franchises, it would be smart of Disney and Square Enix to include them.

New features of the gameplay could be changed, but this is done at the franchise owner's own risk.  There could be some players who will want the old game mechanics of traditional hack and slash to defeat the game, and perhaps they should.

Even though a lot of works end on the third installment, the franchise director Tetsuya Nomura says that Kingdom Hearts 3 won't be the last of the series.  It will be the end of the Xehanort storyline, and Kingdom Hearts 3 could just as easily introduce some new storyline.  Many are wanting to see the protagonist Sora have some happy ending, or, at least, something good happen.  Most people want to see Sora as the focus of this game as well.

So, yes, there isn't a lot much more news on Kingdom Hearts 3, but surely it is under development that is not fast enough for the fans.  Fortunately, Square Enix's other great franchise, Final Fantasy 15, is more complete.

The Bit Bag reports that Square Enix will reportedly release new information about Final Fantasy 15 twice a week.  This information will come in the form of a blog, and one written in Japanese, but it will give updates on Tuesday and Friday.  Fans are also encouraged to check out the official Twitter account and YouTube channel.

Then there is the big event happening on March 30, where Square Enix will host an event that will most likely announce the release date.  Those that want to live stream or watch the event online can do so through Square Enix YouTube and Twitch channels.

Like Kingdom Hearts 3, you had better believe that there is a lot of pressure from Square Enix and developers to put their best in this game.  Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata has said that he is working so hard that it could shorten his life, but "it's all worth it."  That is a lot to live up to.
