With just a few weeks before the premiere of the highly anticipated "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" film, Christian Bale gave some helpful advice to Ben Affleck, who is set to portray the new version of the caped crusader.

Bale, who led Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" series, said during an interview that Affleck should make sure that he can still urinate properly while wearing the Batsuit.

"Make sure you can piss in that suit," he told E! Online. "It's essential. You don't feel much like a superhero when someone else has to help you pee."

Aside from this, Bale also talked about a few interesting details regarding his take on the Dark Knight. According to the actor, he had great plans for the character. However, these plans crumbled as soon as the late Heath Ledger arrived on set.

Bale said that initially, he wanted to capitalize on the dark nature of Bruce Wayne's alter ego. But, after seeing Ledger's impressive performance as the Joker, he soon realized that moviegoers will be more interested in the film's villain rather than its hero.

"Batman, he's very, very dark, messed-up character," he told Yahoo. "I found when I put on the suit I went, 'I just feel like a bloody idiot if I don't use this as a means to kind of [show] his true, monstrous self that he allows to come out in that moment."

"Heath turned up, and just kind of completely ruined all my plans," Bale continued. "Because I went, 'He's so much more interesting than me and what I'm doing.'"

As previously reported, Bale is already finished playing the Batman and has already moved on to other projects, such as "American Hustle," "Exodus: Gods and Kings," "Knights of Cups" and "The Big Short." Despite this, he admitted that he is still looking forward to watching "Batman v Superman."

As for the upcoming superhero film from director Zack Snyder, "Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to come out March 25. Aside from Affleck, the film also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg. Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne will also appear in the film to reprise their roles from the 2013 sequel, "Man of Steel."
