After the successful launching of Dying Light: The Following and Dying Light: Enhanced Edition last month, game developer Techland announced that it will release more DLC this year. In addition, PS4 and Xbox One players get four new maps, thanks to the new game update.

The new map became available last week. The new locations include interesting storylines and new areas to explore. The additional content gives players more gametime to enjoy the zombie apocalypse-themed game. The four new maps feature a choice-based horror story, an arcade-style parkour experience, a survival quest and a trippy nightmare.

Here's the outline of the new locations, courtesy of Tech Times.

  • The Tunnel - a decision-based horror story where players have to go deep beneath the city. The player's decision greatly affects the outcome of the entire mission, so it is important to make the right choices.
  • Climb Down to 21 - this map is good for gamers who to have some excitement in the game. It is an arcade-style adventure, where players have to jump, run and climb through obstacles.
  • The Hunter - this new addition is probably the most intense in terms of gameplay. Players have to survive in a zombie-infested forest, where legions of the undead live and the primary goal is to survive.
  • TeeVee - a nightmare experience that puts players against the zombies at night.

Players have to download the latest Dying Light update to use these four new maps. The update also brings few game patches, stability improvements, bug fixes and balance tweaks.

Meanwhile, PC Gamer reported Techland will release more DLCs this year for Dying Light. Techland's CEO Pawel Marchewka said he wants to express his gratitude towards everyone that has continuously supported the game. Additionally, he decided to release new expansion packs because of the continuous demand for the game.

"We have decided to continue our support for Dying Light at least till the end of this year," Marchewka told in PC Gamer.

The CEO did not reveal any specific details about the upcoming DLCs, but he advised gamers to stay tuned for more updates.

While waiting for new expansion packs, gamers can still enjoy the recently released Dying Light: The Following. The DLC introduces a massive new outback for Kyle to explore. In addition, there's customizable buggy that serves as specialized transportation tool to crush zombies.

Dying Light: The Following is playable on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
