Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon Update: Gameplay and Mechanics To Be Announced On April 15

Pokemon is one of the most popular cartoons to hit in the small screens of Nintendo consoles. And the highly anticipated Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, the newest games in the franchise of Pokemon, are on their way within this year. Here's what is currently known about Pokemoon Sun and Moon release date, new characters and starter pack. 

According to a report from Yibada, Nintendo confirmed it already that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon would be release within this year. These two games will serve as the replacement for the rumored Pokemon Z that has not been released.

But what will be the content of these two highly anticipated games from Nintendo?

The gameplay and the mechanics of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will be announced on April 15. The new information is expected to be featured in the April issue of CoroCoro Magazine. The Japanese magazine says the gameplay and mechanics of these two most awaited games will be exciting.

Gotta Be Mobile said that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are the finale of the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Interestingly, Nintendo has generated more than 200 million sales from the whole franchise since its introduction.

The twin Pokemon games will be released during the holiday season worldwide according to the official announcement.

To those players who can't wait for the two games, NeuroGadget reported that 3DS owners could start ordering the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon as early as November before the Christmas season.

In 2011, Pokemon Black and Pokemon White took eight months to be announced and released worldwide. The same as in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y that took roughly nine months to become available on Nintendo 3DS back in 2012.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is said to be compatible with Pokemon Bank, an online Pokemon storage system that was introduced during the previous generations of Pokemon games. Nintendo says that Pokemons from X and Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and the virtual versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow games will be transferable to Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

For now what is assured is that these two Pokemon games will hit the Nintendo 3DS console to commemorate the franchise's 20th anniversary.  Also, the two upcoming games will surely be a hit for players that can be treasured through the generations of Pokemon.
