With their new show "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," members of the Duggar family are now on their way to putting their controversial past behind them. However, as suggested by new rumors, it seems the big family might face another major controversy.

The new program, which is a spinoff of "19 Kids and Counting," mainly focuses on the couples Jill and Derick Dillard and Jessa and Ben Seewald. But, according to rumors, the latter couple are reportedly going through marital troubles that could end up in divorce.

Citing a report from Star Magazine, En Starz noted that sources said the Seewalds are having a hard time making their marriage work especially after their son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald was born in November of last year.

According to the anonymous insiders, the couple had little time to themselves after their son was born and the young wife is still having difficulties adjusting to her married life.

In addition, Ben even revealed during one of the show's episodes how their life changed due to the arrival of baby Spurgeon.

"Now that the baby's born, we're going to have to make more of a conscious effort to say, 'Hey, let's go out on a date together,'" he said.

Following rumors about a possible divorce, a fan of the Duggars asked Ben through his Facebook account if he and his wife are really having difficulties working out their marriage, Inquistr reported.

"We're doing great," Ben responded. "I don't know where they got that info. Maye that anonymous 'source' that seems to know more about us than we ourselves do!"

As noted by Ben, it's hard to believe in rumors especially if they came from anonymous sources. Also, it's normal for couples, especially for newlyweds who have just been together for a couple of years, to adjust to the new lifestyle of being parents.

As for the show, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" was supposed to run for only three parts but due to its high ratings, it was picked up for a full season earlier this month. The first season of the new television series premiered on March 15.
