Several months after it was revealed to the world that "19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar was a subscriber of the Ashley Madison dating site, his wife Anna finally broke her silence on the matter. She made the revelation during her appearance in a recent episode of the spinoff show "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
Josh's cheating scandal came out Ashley Madison was breached by a hacker collective known as The Impact Team in July of last year. Then, a month later, the leaked data was released by the group which then revealed that Josh had been a member of the site since February of 2013.
Following the revelation, Josh admitted to cheating on his wife and being addicted to Internet pornography.
The controversy, along with the reports that he molested underage girls including some of his sisters, not only rocked the reality series "19 Kids and Counting" but also his family. This then led to rumors of Anna and Josh contemplating divorce due to the issues affecting their marriage.
But then, to the surprise of followers of the Duggar clan, Anna finally tackled the cheating scandal on Jill and Jessa's own television program, The Hollywood Gossip reported. Although she had maintained a solid front to show her support for her husband, she admitted that the scandal had a deep effect on her.
"It just seemed like a bad dream," she said on the show. "It didn't seem possible and I just thought, I'm gonna wake up and everything is going to be okay and this really can't be true."
"It was definitely a hard thing and I think it is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through," Anna added.
But, despite everything that she and Josh went through she still believes that they will eventually get past the controversies that affected their family through prayer and God.
"I respect other people's views, but in my heart, when I got married, I vowed to God first and then to Joshua, for better or for worse, till death do we part," she said. "My prayer and my heart's desires is for our marriage is to be restored."
