Various reports have already confirmed that filming for the fifth season of the Netflix series "Longmire" has already kicked off in Mexico. But aside from that, main cast member Katie Sachoff also teased that a character from previous episodes will return in the upcoming season.

Of course, to prevent any spoilers, Sachoff, who plays Vic Moretti on the show, did not give any detail as to who the mysterious character might be. But, she did mention exactly when viewers can expect to see his, or her, return.

"Just read season 5 episode 4...@LongmirePosse is gonna be pretty d*** excited about who's coming back," she tweeted.

For now, it's a bit hard to speculate about the identity of the character since the show has a long list of recurring cast members. But, given the fact that Sachoff believes the character's return will excite viewers, it could be one of the show's fan favorites.

As noted by Carter Matt, it could be someone who fans believe has died in a previous episode. Although this is quite possible, it could come off as a bit of a cliché especially since other major television programs such as "The Walking Dead" have already done this bit.

As for the series, it is not yet clear when the first episode of season 5 will debut. But, since it has already begun filming and Netflix released the fourth season in September 2015, this could mean that the upcoming installment will come out during the same time this year.

Also, according to a report by Just Jared Jr., it seems "Longmire" will also get a new cast member this season. As noted by the news site, Sterling Beaumon, whose best known for his films "Crawlspace," "The Pretty One" and "Senior Project," has signed on for a recurring role in the fifth season of the series.

The report indicated that he will play a rather obnoxious student from a preparatory school. His first scene will involve rummaging through Ally Walker's things in her home before getting caught by Walt and Moretti. But aside from this, he will also significantly play into season 5's plotline by claiming that he's Walker's son.
