‘Fuller House’ Season 2 Release Date; ‘Very Special Thanksgiving Episode’ Planned, will Mary Kate and Ashley Make An Appearance?

Full House, a nostalgic show back in the eighties and nineties, was given a huge boost when its sequel series Fuller House was announced.  The new show was panned by many critics as a "quick nostalgic cash grab", but it was a huge hit amongst the original audience.  The Second Season was green-lit almost immediately, which is very unusual for any show on Netflix, as some of the most successful shows are not given another season until months after the last one is a success.  It would appear that Fuller House Season 2 is going to have a lot of cast members get together for a holiday episode, and it could bring back Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Netflix intends to bring everyone from Fuller House together for one huge episode, and it is planned to be a "very special episode".  Or, as special as an episode can be for when you get the entire season at once.  Yeah, I'm not certain if we can say "a very special episode" anymore with Netflix's format.

In case you are wondering what can get all the former Full House members together, as well as the new actors and actresses from Fuller House, what gets families together?  That's right, it is Thanksgiving.  Yes, it is pretty standard for most shows to have holiday episodes like Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes, and it often doesn't make sense to have shows like these for Netflix shows, unless the season can premiere around at holiday.

There are a lot of interesting picture of the cast on Instagram, and they can be seen on E News.  Absent from the photos are Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.  It is pretty obvious that the twins will not be appearing on this show, because they seem to going out of their way to say that they will not be appearing on the show.  The first episode of Fuller House even mentioned how Michelle (the same character played by both of the twins played) won't be showing up, and then all the entire cast collectively looked at the camera.

Images that have been seen are Juan Pablo Di Pace (Fernando), Ashley Liao (Ramona), John Brotherton (Matt), and Scott Weinger (Steve).  Then there are all the other regulars like Jodi Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, and Soni Nicole Bringas.  Then there are the Full House cast member Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Bob Saget, and John Stamos.

As far as when Season 2 is planned to premiere on Netflix again, it should be showing up sometime in early 2017.  Yes, that does seem an odd time to have Thanksgiving episode, unless it is established that this season will take place during the course of a year.  I actually like that model for television series, even for those on Netflix.
