Prepare to see amazing fireworks displays in celebration of the Independence Day. The Macy's 40th annual 4th of July 2016 Fireworks Spectacular will feature country singer Kenny Chesney, pop star Meghan Trainor and boy group 5 Seconds of Summer.

One of the highlights of the fireworks display is the spelling out of "U.S.A." across the sky of New York City. The 25-minute fireworks display will showcase dynamic pyro effects from five barges on East River. The barges are placed across the Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg and through the boroughs of Manhattan and Queens.

During the display, a bell will ring 13 times to honor the 13 original colonies on America's 240th birthday.

The fireworks extravaganza will also be accompanied by music scoring from Jennifer Holliday and the USAF Band. Moreover, this year's musical selection will include The Stars & Stripes Forever, This Land is Your Land, Shenandoah, This is My Country, and The Star Spangled Banner.

For those who can't make it outside, they can watch the festivities on a live stream channel. On TV, NBC has a two-hour live national broadcast of Macy's 4th of July 2016 Fireworks Spectacular. The show will be hosted by Tamron Hall and Willie Geist. The live stream and NBC's broadcast will start at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

It is reported that Macy's uses more than 50,000 firework shells every year for the 4th of July show. In addition, the sparks and music are triggered by computers since Macy's switched over to digital in the early 1990s.

Some of best viewing locations are Broad St. Ground Level, the Old Slip Upper Level, intersection of FDR Drive and 23rd St., intersection of FDR Drive and Houston, and intersection of FDR Drive and 42nd St.

For people with special needs, they can watch the show at the intersection of Furman St. and Old Fulton St., Vietnam Memorial Park, intersection of FDR Drive and 34th St., and Center Blvd. from 48th Ave to 49th Ave.
