Publisher Bandai Namco and Developer Dimps are now gearing up to release the sequel of Dragon Ball Xenoverse this fall for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Some the game's new feature includes new story mode, celebrity NPC and a host of new characters.

Here's the latest round-up of update about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 release date, new characters and gameplay.

GameRant reported Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be launched on October 25 for Xbox One and PlayStation for consoles, before coming to PC on October 28.  Interestingly, the sequel to last year's Dragon Ball Xenoverse will not be released on older platforms like the PS3 and 360. Instead, it will come on the latest gaming consoles.

The Xenoverse 2 is expected to build upon the success of the first game. Based on its latest trailer, the game might become a big blockbuster title again.  With a similar premise of going back in time to avoid future conflicts, Xenoverse 2 will take players to different major events in Dragon Ball's history.

The previous "Fly Through Time" trailer revealed players will encounter different characters from the past.  Expect a meeting with Goku's father Bardock, as well as seeing Future Gohan which is an alternate timeline version of the original Gohan.

In addition, one of the new villains is named Turtles, which looks like Goku. He was the primary villain in the 1990s film Tree of Might.  Some of his distinct features are red scouter and black suit.

Speaking new of characters, Bandai Namco announced the upcoming Dragon Ball game will feature the works of Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki. Aside from his upbeat tunes, the DJ will also appear in the game as an interactive character in the game's hub city. DJ Aoki made new editions of classic Dragon Ball Z songs such as "We Gotta Power" and "Cha-La Head-Cha-La".

Furthermore, there will be a larger new player hub city that is seven times bigger than the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse game. It has enough space to host more than 300 players simultaneously. Also, for the first time, players will float around the hub city by using a hover machine.

Graphics-wise, the Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will reportedly run at 60 Frames-per-second (FPS), which doubles the 30 FPS of the first Xenoverse game.

Considering the first game was a multi-million seller, many gaming analysts believe the upcoming Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will be a best seller again. Thankfully, October is only a few months away. Gamers would not have wait long to experience again the action-packed Dragon Ball fights.
