‘Overwatch’ New Changes Include More Than Just Ana, but Updates for D.Va, Mercy, Zenyatta, and Transcendence, With Update Release Dates

Blizzard really wanted to create quite a fad with Overwatch, there most original game from the company in a while.  There is a new character with Ana, and this might not be the last new character added.  There has also been some upgrades to other characters as well, and this is the latest updates to Overwatch, including their release dates.

For those that are not aware, Overwatch introduced a new hero named Ana, who Kotaku describes as "a sniper who heals people, an older woman, and a mother of a lady who lobs rockets at people's faces for a living".  Apparently, Ana is the mother of Pharah Amari, and she has a backstory of being shot by Widowmaker, but survived.

There is another mystery that is associated with Blizzard's famous game, and that is that Ana's origin story contains two unknown characters.  Is it possible that these two characters (circled in the picture) will be more new characters to be added into Overwatch, according to Ubergizmo.  It is possible that these two characters are already existing characters, but younger.  I mean, the woman on the right is possibly Widowmaker, because she wears a mask.

In addition to these new developments, there is a new Overwatch patch that is currently in development and is now available for testing on the Public Test Region.  There is a site known as Play Overwatch with information on how to participate and what changes are included in the upcoming patch.

According to Gamespot, some of the changes include some interesting changes.  For example, Lucio, Soldier 76, and Bastion's Ultimates now cost 10 percent longer to build up, while Road Hog is up to 45 percent.  These changes are due to self-healing now charging up your Ultimate.

Also, D.Va. sees her Defense Matrix shield altered dramatically, with a cooldown reduced from 10 seconds to one, and instead of the longer wait it costs a resource to activate.  It takes 10 seconds to get a full charge, and allow it to be out for four seconds.  Speaking of D.Va, her ultimate also changes with this patch; its cost is now 15 percent less and the delay before its explosion is three seconds where it used to be four.  D.Va is no longer hurt by the explosion.

The character of Mercy is getting some other alterations with a damage boost offering a 50 percent bump rather than the previous 30.  The ultimate costs 30 percent more, and she can move while activating it.

There is also the character of Zenyatta, who has base shields increased by 50, with 50 health and 150 shield.  The Orb of Discord and Orb of Harmony are also faster, and his ultimate allows him to move twice as quickly with 300 health per second.

Then there is Transcendence's healing throughput.  This Ultimate was designed to be the most effective against sustained, high-damage fire, and least effective against short, high-damage bursts.

Chances are, there is going to be a lot of changes to Overwatch as the game only increases in its popularity, and we'll see if those potentially new characters will have a proper introduction.
