The Dallas Cowboys are still on the lookout for a healthy quarterback to take the place of Tony Romo in case their leader once again falls to injury in the next NFL season. While the Dez Bryant squad already has a rookie backup in Dak Prescott, Jerry Jones is said to be wary of the situation. With most quarterbacks already taken in the league, the Dallas Cowboys are reported to be targeting Tim Tebow as the sub for Tony Romo next season.

The career of Tim Tebow in the NFL has been a rollercoaster ride for the Christian star and his fans. Coming off an amazing college football career and a Heisman Trophy accolade, Tebow was expected to dominate the gridiron as soon as possible. However, his stints with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles proved to be heartbreaking. Tebow, who was initially pitted against the likes of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, is currently still looking for prospects in the NFL following his failed attempts to make it in the league.

This is where the Dallas Cowboys come in. As one of the most beloved NFL franchise teams, the Tony Romo squad has a solid following. However, Jerry Jones is becoming worried because injuries kept plaguing the team. So, how can the Dallas Cowboys keep their status? Fans propose that signing Tim Tebow could potentially bolster the popularity of the NFL team.

Apart from the fans, it looks like Dallas officials even want Tim Tebow in the roster. In the past NFL season, Greg Abbott shared his desire to see the Christian star donning the Dallas Cowboys uniform. This comment came after Tony Romo went out due to a broken collarbone in the 2015-16 NFL season.

"Bittersweet victory for @Cowboys. Win game but lose@TonyRomo. Maybe Dallas will sign @TimTebow. #NFL," shared the Texas governor via social media.

Will the next NFL season be the perfect time for Tim Tebow to finally go back to the NFL? Will the Dallas Cowboys truly give him a second chance at the pro league?

The answer remains uncertain. At the moment, Tim Tebow is busy with his commitments outside the NFL. In the recently concluded Together 2016 in Washington, the Christian football star shared memorable words of wisdom to the thousands who gathered for the event. Moreover, Tebow challenged the crowd to something he himself had been practicing in life. That is, to love everyone in his or her life regardless of the circumstances.

"I am going to challenge you to love every single person in your life. I am going to challenge you to love your husband, your wife, to love your kids, to love your families, to love your communities, to love your neighbors, to love every single person you come in contact with," said Tebow to the massive crowd.

He added, "So many times, we can get confused - 'what do I do and how do I do it?' I'll tell you what. Let's break it down and make it real simple. When we love Jesus and we love people, we are going to make a difference and make an impact."
