For those of you are not in the know about GoPro, they make these tiny cameras that are capable of 4K quality and are very resilient.  You can find all sorts of footage of people filming skiing, surfing, and parachuting on them, and the GoPro has quite a brand of greatness attached to it.  It has been about a year since the GoPro Hero 4 was released, and so it is just a matter of time before the Hero 5 comes out.  This is what is known about the GoPro Hero 5 and the Karma Drone release date including some new features.

According to Parent Herald, there was a rumored teaser video that has led to speculations have surged that the device is full of glitches.  Of course, the developers haven't confirmed any issues concerning the device.

As far as what is new for the GoPro Hero 5, there is an Engadget report saying that a recent FCC entry makes clear references to a built-in GPS.  This means that you will have technology for geolocating videos or tracking performance.

In addition to that feature, it is likely that the Hero 5 will have a thinner and lighter body as well as being waterproofed out of the box.  There is also going to be some new interface, and there is even some kind of instruction video out on the Internet with an easier-to-use control scheme.

This instructional video also has some new features like the alternation of the shutter, record button, a slot for optional LCD, extra batteries, and other accessories.  It is possible that the Hero 5 will have a touchscreen, and you can control the camera's microphone, Wi-Fi, and other options.

There is a weird feature that is known as "GoPro Sniper", but I have no idea what that means.  Perhaps it is related to the GoPro Karma Drone.  This was a device announced in December of last year, and it was supposed to be released earlier this year, but there was a delay, according to Digital Trends

The Karma Drone is apparently supposed to be this flying thing to hold your GoPro, and honestly, it is about time that something like this has been created.  Maybe that GoPro Sniper is a way to film your life on your GoPro, and it will hover over you as it shows what kind of life you are living, and hopefully that is exciting.  Maybe you can set it to film a certain area on earth with the included GPS device inside.

The GoPro Hero 5 is going to be getting released this year, but there really isn't any word on an exact release date.  Shouldn't there be one by now, with the GoPro Hero 4 being announced last year in around the summertime.
