Prepare for another round of action-packed battles. Game developer The Coalition is set to release Gears of War 4 later this year on Xbox One and PC. To tease fans, it introduced the upcoming shooter game's new multiplayer mode.
Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Gears of War 4 gameplay, new characters and release date for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
In the recently released teaser, the game developer showcased a new enemy faction called the Deebees. The full details of the automated army are not yet available, but some gamers speculate they are the work of Damon Baird, the COG soldier with a talent for building things.
The trailer also showed the Deebees in multiplayer action. While we still don't much about their motives, they are known to be pretty skilled at shooting foes from a distance and decapitating them from melee range.
Furthermore, there's another video released last week that showcased the game's brand-new weapons and a new character named Old Man Marcus, which is the older version of Marcus Fenix.
Old Marcus was introduced during Gears of War 4's E3 2016 media demo. He left COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) 25 years after the Locust War. The character sports long facial hair and beefy muscles.
Interestingly, the older Marcus is included in the Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack, a new pre-order bonus for Gears of War 4 buyers. The package contains some of the fan-favorite characters in the Gears of War universe. Also, the pack comes with brand-new weapons.
According to Xbox News, The Elite Gear pack contains the Gold Wave Lancer and Gold Wave Gnasher. In addition, all new and current pre-order customers will get the Vintage Del Pack, which includes unique weapon skins, retailer-specific bonus items, and the Vintage Del character model.
As for the other new weapons, expect to see the Dropshot and the Buzzkill. The former is an aerial mine launcher, while the latter is a rapid-fire killing machine, as per the report from Game Rant.
The standard edition of Gears of War 4 is available for $59.99 and the Ultimate Edition is available for $99.99. Interested buyers can now pre-order the game at the Xbox Store and participating retailers.
The Coalition's Gears of War will be released worldwide on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
