The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Mods Release Date Update on PS4 and Xbox One

The remastered version of Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will be released on Oct. 28, 2016. It is expected to come with a bunch of new mods that will surely be enjoyed by avid Elder Scrolls fans. Now, here's what it is currently known about Skyrim Mods release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The PC version of Skyrim has been out for years, and it is filled with creative mods that enrich player's gaming experience. Some of the game modifications in the original Skyrim are UI changes, combat tweaks and new regions to explore. According to GameSpot, the majority of those mods will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One once The Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim Special Edition becomes available.

In a separate report from GameSpot, Bethesda PR vice president Pete Hines talked about how the Skyrim mods would run on gaming consoles. He said it would essentially work like Fallout 4's creation kit. Aside from the remastered Skyrim game and its DLCs, buyers will get a new creation kit bundle. In order to create mods for consoles, players have to run their modifications on the Skyrim creation kit and then publish it to Bethesda.net. After that, the game publisher will distribute it to everyone.

When asked if the old Skyrim mods would work on the new version of the game, Hines said yes, it would definitely work.

One of the most popular mods in the original Skyrim was SkyUI, which was specially designed for console gamers and was fairly easy to use with gamepad. It presents a lot of new information in the game, allowing players to organize their equipment better and determine their best items. Aside from the improved graphics, SkyUI also adds more bells and whistles like visible status effects in the HUD.

Furthermore, there is a couple of Skyrim mod that improves in-game weapons and armor. The Immersive Weapons and Armor are actually two separate mods from the same group of developers. Both add hundreds of new armor and weapon items that make sense within the context of the regions. 

Last but not the least, many gamers want to see the Realistic Needs and Diseases mod in the remastered Skyrim. It in, players have to manage hunger, fatigue and diseases. Plus, The mod provides a Fallout 4-like challenge in the game.

With that being said, let's wait and see what mods will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One once the Skyrim remastered version becomes available.
