'Deadpool 2' Release Date, News, and the Casting of Cable and Domino

One of the biggest films of this year is Deadpool, and it really should be no surprise. After all, Deadpool was one of Marvel's biggest heroes or anti-heroes, and the way he broke the fourth wall in the comics translated very well into film. This should come as no surprise, as Deadpool was a popular character in the nineties, and there are two other characters from Marvel's speculator boom who will appear in Deadpool 2. This is what is known about the release date of Deadpool 2 as well as the casting of Cable and Domino.

For those that haven't seen the film, then you probably know about the post credits scene that hinted at the live-action debut of Cable. If you are not familiar with Cable, he was created by Rob Liefeld. If you aren't familiar with that name, then you don't know a lot about comics in the early nineties. Liefeld was very instrumental at creating characters who were rugged, gritty, muscular, and always had an abundance of pouches and guns.

Cable is a mutant who has varying telekinetic and telepathic abilities, but there is a twist to him. Cable (aka Nathan Summers) is the son of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, who has since grown up as an adult and went back in time when they were his age. If that sounds confusing, it is, because comic books do weird time travel twists like that.

So, who will be playing this iconic character. A lot of names are being thrown around like Stephen Lang (who played the villain in Avatar) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who played the anti-hero The Comedian in Watchman and Negan on The Walking Dead). However, there seems to be one name that is getting a lot of press. That name would be Kyle Chandler, a veteran of Early Edition who has been in a lot of films since then.

Also appearing in Deadpool 2, but only as a rumor is Domino. Domino, just like Deadpool and Cable, was created in the early nineties, and became a huge fan-favorite. Her powers are kind of like Cable as they are not quite defined, but her powers can provide good luck for her friends and work against her opponents.

Domino is often linked romantically with Cable, and in the early nineties, they were a member of a team called X-Force, one of many X-Men spinoffs. X-Force is kind of one of those teams that has a more aggressive take than its parent team, and Cable was the leader of that particular militant organization of mutants.

It has been revealed that shooting for Deadpool 2 is beginning in 2017. The director of the original Deadpool, Tim Miller is back in the helm, and the film is set to be released in January 12, 2018. You heard that right, a huge summer blockbuster style movie is getting its release date in January, a time of dearth for a lot of studios to release their worst.
