NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Confirm Rudy Gay Trade; D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle Welcome New Leader

The Los Angeles Lakers have a problem. The Kobe Bryant team has loads of cash to spend with no basketball stars interested in joining their team. Following the exit of the Black Mamba, the Los Angeles Lakers front office have been trying their best to sign NBA All-Star athletes only to find players like Kevin Durant, Hassan Whiteside, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose sign elsewhere. As failure looms heavily above the D'Angelo Russell squad, it looks like hope now comes in the form of a Rudy Gay trade courtesy of the Sacramento Kings.

The relationship of the NBA players and the front office in the Sacramento Kings has been rocky for quite some time now. Although Rudy Gay has never been quite as vocal as teammates DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo, who just signed with the Chicago Bulls, in the past seasons, the former Memphis Grizzlies star appears to be more open about his frustrations today. Pointing out the lack of direction of the NBA team and the absence of stability in their group, fans firmly believe that a Rudy Gay trade will be announced this offseason.

"I mean it's been pretty loud as of late so it's hard not to pay attention to it," said Rudy Gay of the NBA trade rumors tagging him. He further noted, "I think it just goes to, I don't know, I think there's always ways to do things and in this situation I don't think it's going about the right way."

The Sacramento Kings veteran added, "No matter what your intentions to do with your players, I would think the first thing you want to do is make sure people are happy with what you are doing. That hasn't been the case."

Will the Los Angeles Lakers be the lucky NBA team to sign the Sacramento Kings veteran?

Rumors are rife that Luke Walton, who served as an assistant coach for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green in the Golden State Warriors, is heavily recruiting the Sacramento Kings star. Since the former Kobe Bryant squad failed to win in the Kevin Durant free agency campaign, the Jordan Clarkson team is said to be relying heavily on a Rudy Gay trade this time around.

At this point, the Los Angeles Lakers have yet to comment on their rumored moves targeted to execute a Rudy Gay trade. Moreover, the Sacramento Kings are still mum on the future of their veteran star. Meanwhile, Rudy Gay himself seems to be uncertain on how to react to the NBA trade rumors linked to him.
