Attack on Titan Video Game Release Date and Gameplay; Attack on Titan Season 2 Start Date

The long wait is over. Publisher Koei Tecmo announced that the Attack on Titan video game will release this month and will reveal some key storylines for the anime's season 2. The publisher also launched new trailer that reveals two more types of Titans. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Attack on Titan video game relase date and news about Attack on Titan Season 2.

Koei Tecmo made the announcement at Gamescom on Germany. The 2-minute trailer highlights the 50-foot tall Armored Titan and the massive Beast Titan. The latter has ape-like features and possesses immeasurable strength. These two new Titans will definitely bring havoc to the city.

The Attack on Titan video game is developed by Omege Force, the studio behind the Dynasty Warriors series. Forbes reported the studio took time to develop the very complex Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear, which is integral to the gameplay.

Players can upgrade their Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear. The individual parts of the equipment like blades and scabbard are all upgradeable with materials gathered from Titans. Players can get these materials by slaying Titans on multiplayer and single player missions.

Last month, Koei Tecmo revealed more details about the game's multiplayer mode called Scout mode. Players will be able to recruit up three friends to explore the wall. Their adventure will start at a camp, where they can upgrade their weapons, change costumes and prepare for battles.

One of the interesting aspects of Attack on Titan video game is it will go beyond the first season of the anime and will reveal new elements to the story. This is good news for fans that are patiently waiting for the show's Season 2.

During July's Tokyo International Forum, it was announced that Attack on Titan season 2 will air in Spring 2017. Rumors around the internet claim the show's season 2 will reveal the origin of Titans and the secrets of Reiss family.

Wit Studio will return for the second season of Attack on Titan. The studio worked on the first season of the anime and recently finished the Season One of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. From episode director, Masashi Koizuka will be moving to overall director.
