American Horror Story Season 6 Release Date, Cast, Theme, Premiere and Spoilers

Two weeks before the much-anticipated premiere of American Horror Story Season 6, the show's mystery theme appeared on different publications, TV listings and TV guides. The latest leak appears to be true and could reveal the plot of the upcoming season.

Now here's the latest round-up of update about American Horror Story 6 cast, plot and spoilers.

Cable channels usually update their list of shows two weeks in advance. The sixth season of American Horror Story is scheduled to start in just 13 days, so many viewers expect the season has been uploaded to the database of FX. Many entertainment websites report the next season of hit FX show will a have theme "The Mist."

In the past several months, FX released teasers for the next season of American Horror Story. Some of the teasers show a demon baby, a hair-pulling shadow specter and a naughty nurse armed with garden scissors. It is not yet clear if these creatures will appear next season. Also, the plot details of Season 6 have been nonexistent thus far. The show's creators previously that said they want the entire season to be a complete surprise to fans.

Now, for the rumored American Horror Story: The Mist, it appeared on many TV guides and listing, leading fans to believe that it would be the theme for the next season. The Mist might be a reference to Stephen King's novella or John Carpenter's 1980 horror classic The Fog.

However, Yahoo News said it is also possible that this is just the latest red herring by FX, and the real theme will be revealed on September 14. Furthermore, FX president John Landgraf previously said that many of the released trailers of American Horror Story are misdirects and have nothing to do with the actual plot, as per report from The Wrap.

"One of them is accurate, and the others are just misdirects," the president added.

Based on the teaser trailer and several interviews by Murphy, the plot of the next season might be dealing with orphanage, cult, farm and colony. Also, viewers might see more creepy monsters.

So far, the official cast members include Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Denis O'Hare, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.
