Sony claims the upcoming PlayStation (PS) Pro will be able to render more detailed images when connected to an ultra-high definition 4K television. Not only that, the console will offer support for 4K streaming videos on Netflix and YouTube. Tech experts say the improved PS4 will definitely make huge impact on the gaming market. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about PS4 Pro release date, specs and price.

Since projecting games to 4K televisions needs more computing power than HD, it is expected that the PS4 Pro would be equipped with powerful graphics processing unit (GPU), probably doubling the GPU power of the original PS4.

According to Independent, Sony will launch the PS4 Pro for $399.99 USD on November 10.

Rumors around the internet claim the console will boast higher clock speed and improved GPU. It might fueled by eight Jaguar CPU cores running at 2.1GHz, which is a significant increase from PS4's 1.6GHz. It might also come with a one terabyte hard drive and support for PlayStation VR, which will become available in October.

Sony officials stated the PS4 Pro is designed to make player's gaming experience richer and enjoyable. In BBC's interview with Jim Ryan, head of PlayStation Europe, he said: "The PlayStation is primarily a gaming platform, and everything we do is to make the gaming experience as seamless as possible."

Aside from high-definition gaming, the console will allow players to watch videos using high dynamic range (HDR), a first for a mainstream console. As we mentioned earlier, the 4K entertainment on the console will become available on Netflix and YouTube. Also, other video streaming services, such as Amazon Prime, might provide the same type of 4k video in the future. It is estimated that there will more than 6,000 hours' worth of 4K content available before the year 2016 ends.

Take note that PS4 Pro is not another generation of console from Sony. Sony's Mark Cerny says it won't make the current PS4 games obsolete; instead. it would take the PS4 experience to "extraordinary new levels."

Interestingly, Sony will sell two consoles this year. Alongside with PS4 Pro, the company will offer the slimmer PS4. The PS4 Slim will go on sale for $299 USD. It is reportedly 30% smaller, 16% lighter and 28% more power efficient.
