After its Japanese Release, the new Dragon Ball game is now coming to the United States. Dragon Ball Fusions is an action-RPG game for Nintendo 3DS. It features hundreds of characters that '90s kids will definitely recognize. Now, here's the latest news about Dragon Ball Fusions game release date, new characters and gameplay.

Bandai Namco America posted a video on YouTube to announce the release date of Dragon Ball Fusions. The trailer says the game will be released in North America on December 13, 2016. It also showcases the RPG-style gameplay of the new Dragon ball title.

The game allows players to create their own unique characters. From hairstyle to shoes, players can make a character according to their own taste. Then the character would travel to the Dragon world to collect items and build alliances with other fighters. The game's turn-based battle system incorporates strategy and real time action elements.

As the title suggests, players can fuse any type of character in the game by using a special arm bracelet. They can choose from five different races --Saiyans, Earthlings, Aliens, Off worlder and Namek. For example, the fusion of Kid Goku and Krillin results to Gorilin. There are also new characters like Prillin, which is combination of Piccolo and Krillin.

Because of character fusions, the actual number of playable characters is very huge. A report from Forbes says players can choose from more than 1,000 fighters in the Dragon Ball Fusions. This means the game has the largest character roster in a Dragon Ball game to date.

Overall, Dragon Ball Fusions focuses on character customization, quests, fighting and collection elements. Aside from making a custom avatar, players can also build teams of fighters and fuse their warriors together to create all-new characters.

As we mentioned earlier, Dragon Ball Fusions will be released in the United States on December 13 for Nintendo 3DS. The game will also come to European countries in February 2017.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the Fusions, gamers can look forward to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which becomes available on Oct. 4 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It features a host of new characters, such as Broly, Bardock, Janemba, Dodoria, Majin Vegeta and Zarbon.
