LeEco Le Max2, Le S3 Release Date and Specs

It looks like Chinese tech firm LeEco aims to penetrate the US mobile market this year. The company is set to release two smartphones in the country on October 19. According to experts, the Le Max2 and Le S3 are poised to go head-to-head against top brands like Motorola, One Plus and others.

The Verge reported LeEco, formerly known as LeTV, offers huge discount for the two smartphones. Buyers can save by as much as $60 when they get the company's new products. In terms of specs, gadget lovers can expect good features for the two handsets.

The Le Max 2 is the high-end model. It sports 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1,440x2,560-pixel resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU - standard internals components of today's flagship handsets. Buyers can choose from 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Also, there is 32GB of internal storage.

For camera technology, LeEco Le Max 2 has 21-MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilisation). It also offers 8-MP front snapper.

Additionally, the phone is fueled with 3,100mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

For the low-end LeEco Le S3, it sports 5.5-inch display with 1,080x1, 920-pixel resolution. Inside, it is powered by Qualcomm's modest Snapdragon 652 chipset that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In addition, the phone is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

In terms of camera features, Le S3 offers 16-MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and phase detection auto focus. Also, it has 8-MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size and 76.5-degree wide-angle lens.

Lastly, the phone is fueled with 3,000mAh battery with LeECo fast charging technology.

As we mentioned earlier, LeEco Le Max 2 and LeEco Le S3 will be released on Oct 19. They are priced at $289 and $169, respectively. The $60 discount is included in these prices.

Aside from smartphones, LeEco is set to sell a range of branded televisions in the US. The company's four new LED TVs are LeEco Super4 X43 Pro, LeEco Super4 x55, LeEco Super4 X65, and LeEco uMax85. All of these models support 4K resolution videos and run on Android TV.
