Good news for Pokémon fans out there. The upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon 3DS game will be having a demo on Oct. 18. In the demo, players can use Ash's Greninja, a new starter Pokémon. Now, here's what is currently known about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon release date, gameplay new features.

The new Pokémon games are estimated to be around 3.2 GB each in size. With that hefty amount of files, players would need to have an extra SD or microSD card to play the games. The standard Nintendo 3DS systems and New Nintendo 3DS consoles only have a 4GB of memory.

As for the gameplay of the new Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, players can expect all-new cute creatures in the game. They can choose from one of three new monsters -- Rowlet, Litten and Popplio - as a starting Pokémon. In a recently released trailer, Nintendo revealed these monsters evolve into Dartrix, Torracat and Brionne respectively.

Furthermore, the Sun and Moon will feature Mega Evolutions and new locations, such as the Poké Pelago and the Festival Plaza. The latter is the online contingent of the game, where players can meet and interact with other trainers.

As we already know, the new Pokémon game puts players in the tropical island of Alola, where there are new breeds of Pokemon types that appeared after adapting to the island's unique climate. Some of the new monsters are Mimikyu, Bewear and Salandit. Also, there are Alolan counterparts of previous Pokemon, such as Exeggutor, Raichu, Eevee and Nine Tails.

Aside from "common" monsters, the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon would introduce a new set of Legendary monsters. Solgaleo is a lion-like monster, while Lunala has bat-like features. They represent the day and night versions of the game. Also, they are the cover of the new Pokémon titles.

In a report from GameSpot, it says the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are the next-generation of Pokémon games developed for modern gamers. Both titles have colorful, lively and animated characters. Plus, the Alola region is refreshing. It is also said the Hawaii-inspired region is the biggest Pokémon map to date.

With that being said, the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo becomes available on October 18th at the Nintendo eShop. The games' official release worldwide is on November 18th.
