‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Cast: Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles' Wives Are both Expecting Another Baby

After working together over the past years on the fantasy thriller series ‘Supernatural,’ Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles share another common thing besides acting and charity. The actors’ wives are both pregnant, and Padalecki recently announced that he and his wife Genevieve are expecting their third child.

“When I started the show, I was 22 years old. I was a single guy, kind of doing my thing. Now I’m twelve years older, father of two, about to be father of three in March,” Jared said in an interview on ‘Live with Kelly.’

His wife stood at the side of the stage as she held her small baby bump. The couple has two children together- 4-year-old Thomas Colton and 2-year-old Austin Shepherd.

Genevieve met her husband while filming ‘Supernatural’ season 4 when she briefly played the role of a demon on The CW drama.

Jared’s announcement comes several months after his co-star Jensen and his wife Danneel Harris Ackles also revealed that they were expecting not just one but two babies

In a report by People, it was confirmed that Danneel was pregnant with twins. The baby boy and girl are due before the end of 2016.

Interestingly, both Genevieve and Danneel have been simultaneously pregnant at an earlier time. In 2013, the ‘One Tree Hill’ alum delivered baby Justice Jay towards the start of Mrs. Padalecki’s second pregnancy.

Besides acting, the two mothers also seemingly share a good bond as Danneel recently took to social media and showed the flowers she had received from Genevieve.

Even their weddings were carried out in the same year. While the Padalecki couple tied the knot in February of 2010, the Ackles exchanged wedding vows only three months later in May. Jared and Jensen were also chosen as each other’s groomsmen in their respective nuptials.

Meanwhile, when it comes to rumors of ‘Supernatural’ coming to an end, Jared did open up about wanting to do more episodes with Jensen.

“When we get to 300, I think Ackles and I will think it might be time to say bye,” Padalecki said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in September. “There’s a chance that changes, but we certainly do not take it for granted that we’re going to make it to 300.”

Despite uncertainties, the actors also open up about what they love in their characters.

“I feel I’ve learned a lot from my friend Sam. I’ve learned a lot from my friend Dean. I want to tell that story as well as possible as long as possible, but I don’t want it to get too long in the tooth,” Padalecki shared.

As for Ackles, the 38-year-old actor believes he has much enthusiasm left in him before the series comes to an end.

“They’re paying us to bring that little bit of magic to what they wrote, and I still feel that magic today. The day that I don’t feel that magic will be a very sad day, and I hope that day never comes,” he added.

‘Supernatural’ season 12 airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
