If there is one particular thing that we love about modern day games, it would be this: expansion packs that certainly bring new life into an existing title or franchise. Of course, in the past, there were sequels to existing games that might or might not use the same game engine, or expansion packs that required a fair number of diskettes or even a CD for installation. Now, it is as simple as waiting for the download to happen, and you’re good to go. The same applies to the WWE 2K17 NXT Enhancement Pack, as this DLC (downloadable content) is now available.

In the NXT Enhancement Pack, we will see a slew of NXT superstars make their wrestling debut on this year’s WWE 2K17 edition, Shinsuke Nakamura included. Shinsuke Nakamura happens to be also known as the King of Strong Style, and is finally ready to thrill his fans with his signature moves on the big screen at home. Apart from Nakamura, the WWE 2K17 NXT Enhancement Pack will also provide players with the access to Apollo Crews and Nia Jax, now how about that for some variety?

Of course, getting more superstars to enjoy the game is but the beginning. You will also be able to benefit from other goodies such as a 50 percent boost in points. Do take note that the increased bonus when it comes to such points only apply to the times when such points are acquired as you compete at NXT in the MyCareer mode.

Gamers who are interested in the WWE 2K17 NXT Enhancement Pack DLC will be able to pick it up for $9.99 at Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store. Do understand that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners are the only ones who will be able to enjoy the NXT Enhancement Pack, so if you are still rocking on to the older generation PS3 and Xbox 360, you might want to sniff around for any Black Friday deals that will allow you to get on with the program.

Of course, this does not mean that Xbox 360 and PS3 owners are left out of the dark if they would like to be able to play Nakamura, Jax and Crews on their previous generation consoles. Those who want to are able to check out the NXT Legacy Pack which will cost $4.99, and with the lower entry price point,it will not come with the points boost. Small compromise actually, especially for those who have yet to make the jump to current generation consoles.

Apart from that, the WWE 2K17 Legends Pack was released, but only for a while. That seemed to be an accident, as the original release date was slated for the 22nd of November. Some who have been hanging around online at the right time managed to enjoy the download before it was pulled from both Sony’s and Microsoft's stores.

The WWE 2K17 Legends Pack DLC will include the likes of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Eddie Guerrero, Sycho Sid and Tatanka, where you can enjoy their entrance videos below. For $8.99 a pop, this is definitely a blast from the past.

At the end of it, if you want the entire shebang, you are better off with the Season Pass that goes for $29.99. Talk about buying a game on top of a game! The WWE sure knows how to milk as much money as possible from their franchise!
