Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2 Price and Holiday Sale at Best Buy, Amazon

Tim Cook claims Apple Watch is one of the most popular holiday gifts. So, if you have missed Amazon's one-day sale of Apple Watch Series 1, you have to settle on buying Apple's smartwatches in its regular price. After all, Apple's Watch series are still the best-selling smartwatch.

Amazon was offering a huge discount on Apple Series 1 watches on Tuesday. A refurbished stainless steel 38mm Apple Watch with a Sport band had $80 discount. A brand new stainless steel 42mm Apple Watch with a Classic Buckle leather band cost $90 less. They currently cost $349.99 and $449.99 in Amazon, respectively. If you are saving up, you might want to buy the aluminum Apple Watch since they are actually cheaper.

Best Buy is offering a 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with black Sport band Apple Watch Series 1 for $269. You can spend the same amount for a Rose Gold, Silver and Gold color. On the other hand, a 42mm Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band Apple Watch Series 1 is being sold for $299.99. However, if you don't mind spending more, there is a refurbished Geek Squad Certified Apple Watch Series 1 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case Black Sport Band for $349.00

The Apple Watch Series 2 are more expensive. They offer more speed since they are running on the latest watchOS. A 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case Black Sport Band Apple Watch Series 2 is cost $100 more than the Series 1 version. That is also the case with the 42mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport band Watch Series 2 where you have to spend $399.00.

Despite the prices, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed to Reuters that the sales of Apple Watch has set a record during the first week of holiday shopping. In fact, he added that the fourth quarter of 2016 will be the best ever for their smartwatch. He said in an email, "Our data shows that Apple Watch is doing great and looks to be one of the most popular holiday gifts this year." However, Cook did not released any specific figure of their Apple Watch sales.

As for the data from the research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Apple is estimated to have sold 1.1 million units in the third quarter of 2016. That's 71 percent decline from last year. Though the tech giant often have the strongest sale of the Apple Watch during the Christmas season. TECHnalysis Research analyst's Bob O'Donnell told Reuters that the Apple wearable gadget is "a more natural gift" than iPhone or Mac computer. It also helps that the company has lowered the prices for the Apple Watch.
