Josh McDermitt reveals several details regarding the much-anticipated mid-season finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 7. Despite the fall on ratings, the show has still millions of fan following. This midseason finale episode will conclude several cliffhangers presented in the last aired episode.

Mcdermitt, who plays Eugene Porter of the series, stated how the things will go and pick up from the last episode scenes regarding Negan and Rick.

"We certainly end the midseason with a bang. The way the last episode ended, with Negan holding baby Judith, is pretty disgusting, and we're gonna pick up shortly after that and see what goes down. You know, Rick right now is not in Alexandria. He's off on a supply run or something with Aaron, so we're gonna see more of that and what happens there. And hopefully, he can make it back to Alexandria in time to see Negan basically becoming the adoptive father to baby Judith and Carl. And everything is going to go down in Alexandria," McDermitt stated in EW Morning Live.

Regarding McDermitt's character, Eugene, the actor stated Eugene's efforts to keep Rosita from her plan of killing Negan to take revenge on Abe's death, according to Yahoo.

"This is not a good place for Eugene to be in because he's left without a plan," McDermitt says. "I think that a lot of the goals that these characters have are going to be exposed. It's a really exciting finale, and I can't wait for people to see it."

The mid-season finale is riddled with speculations regarding who might die next and what situations will the characters be in on that context. Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes, recently announced that he has been accepted in Auburn University. Fans speculated that his acceptance in college could lead to his character be killed off in the seventh season, according to Us Weekly.

"The Walking Dead" is also known in killing off unlikely characters. Rick's baby daughter, Judith, has a blurry and scary fate as Negan seems to take a liking to her. Her close contact with Negan could close future complications especially now that several characters attempted and still on the works in killing him for revenge and to stop his tyranny.

Still, fans will see more of Negan in Season 8 as Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirms his character survival in the series.
