NBA Rumors: San Antonio Spurs Mull Over Jeremy Lin Trade; Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge Want Mature Big 3

The San Antonio Spurs are once again reclaiming their rightful spot as serious contenders for the NBA title courtesy of LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard stats. However, the Pau Gasol team appears to still lack something to make them an unquestionable group to beat the Golden State Warriors as the Western Conference champions. With this in mind, a Jeremy Lin trade has been put on the table in an effort to build a stronger and more mature Big 3 in the Danny Green squad.

The Jeremy Lin trade talks have become a widespread discussion in the NBA especially in light of the underwhelming performance of the Brooklyn Nets this season. With the Linsanity stats not exactly hitting the target in the Brook Lopez squad, fans believe that New York might just not be for the Harvard alum. However, his leadership skills and quiet strength in the hardwood court have been considered incredible assets by a number of basketball teams in the league.

Rumors are rife that the San Antonio Spurs are considering a Jeremy Lin trade in the offseason. Although Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge have been performing well this season, fans feel that another high quality player should be shipped to the Pau Gasol team. Among the basketball stars in the NBA today, many believe that Jeremy Lin stands out when it comes to boosting a team's morale. Will he be the much-needed star to finally push the San Antonio Spurs to greatness?

"[Jeremy Lin] has had to fight. No one's really taken him [to be] as good as he was. He was a great player in high school in California, and nobody wanted him. He was a great player at Harvard; nobody wanted him. He was a great player with the Knicks, and even then they still struggled [to believe]," shared Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni of the Brooklyn Nets star via the New York Post.

He added, "He's had to battle for everything that he has. And it's a great story. He's fun to coach, a good guy. You root for people like that. That'll be one of my favorite stories forever. Sixty years playing ball or doing whatever, and that's one of the best."

At this point, no official comments have been released regarding this Jeremy Lin trade rumor. The San Antonio Spurs are still carrying on to finally reach the top in the Western Conference - hopefully beating the super team of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, any Jeremy Lin talks would need some major revamping again for the Brooklyn Nets.
