The Golden State Warriors are now named as the fastest basketball team to make the NBA playoffs following their victory over Jeremy Lin and his Brooklyn Nets. While the teamup of Kevin Durant with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green is clearly paying off this season, the real hard work is about to begin as they set out to defend their Western Conference title and attempt to regain their NBA trophy from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 2015-16 NBA Finals had been a very bitter pill to swallow for the Golden State Warriors as Stephen Curry and his team botched their 3-1 lead. This painful loss for the Klay Thompson squad reportedly prompted their aggressive pursuit of the Kevin Durant free agency opening at the time - a success that has brought a super team to the Dub Nation. However, it looks like the Draymond Green team is not yet done.

Despite the passing of the NBA trade deadline, rumors are rife that a Paul George contract is still available for the right price. The Indiana Pacers star has been reportedly itching to get out of his current team and join a contender that would help him bring home a championship ring once and for all. Among the basketball teams eager to sign the All-Star are the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Toronto Raptors. But, it appears that a Paul George contract might see a future in the Golden State Warriors.

"Maybe I'm just living in the past, of how good we used to be," shared Paul George in an earlier interview on his opinion of the Indiana Pacers. He added, "All the guys I had around. I'm still living in that moment, maybe. And I got to put myself into a different team. Maybe I have to do more. Maybe that's just what it is. Maybe I have to do more now. But whatever it is, I'm going to figure it out."

Right now, the Indiana Pacers still have a shot at making the NBA playoffs in the Eastern Conference as they rank sixth in the division led by the Cleveland Cavaliers. So far, no official comment has been given by the parties tagged in this NBA trade rumor. However, fans of the Golden State Warriors are excited to see whether another All-Star would sign with the Kevin Durant team.
