After the successful launching of The Legend of Zelda Breath of Wild earlier this month, Nintendo is reportedly now gearing up to release a Zelda mobile game to iOs and Android. A report from Wall Street Journal claims the Zelda mobile game might become available in the last part of 2017 or in the first quarter of 2018.

Now, here's the latest update about Legend of Zelda mobile game release date, rumors and features.

According to tech experts, developing a mobile version of Zelda is a good move for Nintendo. Judging from the sales and review scores of fully-fledge RPG Legend of Zelda in Nintendo Switch, the game's popularity will definitely spill out in Zelda mobile game for those who can't afford the Switch.

As of now, it is not yet announced whether the Zelda mobile game will have free-to-play approach like Fire Emblem Heroes or players have to pay to unlock the rest of the game -- just like in Super Mario Run. It is interesting to note that Fire Emblem Heroes proved free-to-play games can keep the core elements of a popular title without stripping it too much, making it boring. However, Super Mario Run also proved that a minimalism game isn't a bad approach as it becomes more accessible to all levels of players.

We'll give you an update as soon as possible whether the Zelda mobile game will be a paid or free-to-play game. According to an article published in Forbes, the upcoming Zelda mobile game will not going to have pay-to-skip wait timers, randomized loot chests, or gacha mechanics.

For gameplay rumors, the Zelda franchise is well-known for its puzzles. So, the franchise's mobile game might still offer block brain teasers puzzles and dungeon-based exploration puzzles. This popular element of Zelda games will definitely be appealing to mobile users and has the potential to work good on small screens like mobile phones.

Nintendo will definitely give us an update in the next months to come about the official launching of Zelda mobile game. Super Mario Run was revealed three months before its release. However, several online articles said the gaming company will announced the Animal Crossing game first before the Zelda mobile.

Engadget previously reported Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said they will release two to three smartphones titles per year. If that is true, then we will hear more about the Zelda mobile game before the year ends.
