Motorola might be owned by China-based Lenovo, but this does not mean that the quality of its smartphones have suffered. On the contrary, Motorola continues to roll out quality devices that are full well capable of handling one’s communication needs with aplomb, and then some. The latest trio of devices that have leaked? The Moto Z2, Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. It is just a few more weeks before the official launch of the Moto Z2 family happens, and more details have started to surface about the upcoming flagship device. A brand new image of the Moto Z2 has apparently leaked out, showcasing the front panel to the masses for the very first time. Of course, this might not be the real deal, but based on past experiences, it could very well be the closest thing to the actual Moto Z2.

Moto Z render leak
“Reliable” sources cited by Android Authority claim that this Moto Z2 front panel image is not the Moto Z2 Force, so try not to be mistaken between the two. At first glance, it does seem as though they are the same as that of the recently introduced Moto G5 Plus, not to mention being in line with other leaks of the Moto Z2 Play that have made their rounds. Well, if that is the case, it seems that Motorola is moving toward an economy of design, streamlining their devices into something similar across the entire range which would take a trained eye and a smartphone buff to be able to tell one from the other.

The upcoming Moto Z2 does look as though it has pretty fat bezels located not only at the top, but also at the bottom, sporting a camera with a front-facing flash, as well as a speaker located right on top. The Moto logo has also been relocated to the top bezel, while there is a new new fingerprint sensor thrown into the mix which can function as an optional “trackpad” for navigation purposes, just like what the Moto G5 Plus comes with. In the same render, the standard flat glass is no longer there, but replaced by a 2.5D glass with curved edges in order to keep up with the times.

Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus specifications leak
What of the new entry-level Moto E smartphones? It seems that the 2017 model will arrive with an option for a plus sized device. The two handsets will boast of 5-inch and 5.5-inch 720p HD screens, with the smaller form factor between the two being slightly sharper in terms of its ppi count.

With these two handsets sharing many similarities, we are looking at a 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek processor powering the device from underneath the hood, where it is accompanied by 2GB of RAM. Word has it that the Moto E4 Plus will arrive with a 3GB of RAM option in "some regions", while 16GB of internal storage is standard for either model, with the option to further expand on that via a microSD memory card slot.

In terms of cameras, the 5-inch Moto E4 will carry an 8-megapixel shooter at the back with a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The larger sized Moto E4 Plus sport a similar front-facing camera at 5-megapixels, but the back will see an increase in the megapixel count as a 13MP shooter. One stark contrast between the two would be the battery life -- with the E4 arriving with a 2,800mAh battery, while the E4 Plus will have a huge 5,000mAh battery.

Expect Android 7.1.1 Nougat to ship with all of the three handsets right out of the box, although pricing details remain unknown at present time.
