Crackdown 3 had a place of honor at Microsoft's E3 2017 presentation. Based on the action-packed trailer, featuring Terry Crews, expect there are tons of explosions and adrenaline-filled battles in the game. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Crackdown 3 release date and gameplay.

The new Crackdown is set to be an example of how Microsoft's cloud technology would vastly improve the action in a game. Crackdown 3's online multiplayer mode is built for pure, unadulterated destruction. Players can reduce everything to rubble, or cut down a building, thanks to the cloud-based computing of Microsoft.

Back in 2015, Polygon reported that the development of the upcoming Crackdown started before the launching of Xbox One. The publication also wrote Microsoft developers already calculated how they are going to incorporate the cloud-computing technology in the open-world action game.

The first look of cloud-powered real time destruction will be demonstrated in Crackdown 3. Game Creator Dave Jones said earlier this year that Microsoft's cloud computing technology supplies twenty times more power than a single Xbox One Console. Because of the game's reliance on the new computing technology, the full-scale destruction can be experienced in the game's online multiplayer modes. However, for campaign mode, regardless of number of players, it will only have a limited amount of destruction.

In terms of gameplay, players can still control a ludicrously powerful superhuman agent to hunt down criminals in a futuristic city while taking order from a very enthusiastic commander. There's not much story in the game, but players can expect to have more time do more destruction in the city.

Interestingly, it looks game developers took inspiration from Sunset Overdrive. Players in Crackdown 3 can collect glowing agility orbs to level up their power-ups. The game also has a comic tone in terms of style and color. However, some cel-shaded graphics is a bit generic.

The new Crackdown was supposed to be launched in 2016, but developer Reagent Games postponed it to 2017. Crackdown 3 release date is set on November 7, 2017. Interested buyers can pre-order the game now at Amazon for $60. The game is also going to be an Xbox Play Anywhere title so that players can play access it on Xbox One and Windows PC.

Meanwhile, the recently announced Xbox One X is scheduled to become available alongside with Crackdown 3. With $499 starting price, this powerful console has 8-core CPU @ 2.3GHz and Six teraflop GPU @ 1,172 MHz.
