The Presbyterian Church USA will hold the first conference specifically designed for young adults, November 21-23. The retreat, entitled, “The Theology of Prosperity” will focus on the challenges young adults face in the world of money, recognition, power, and material things.
Slated to be held at the Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina, attendants will have a chance to discuss faith issues with others their age, as well as learn the ways to “recapture the indwelling spirit of God that promises to nourish us in much richer ways.”
Rodger Nishioka, the associate professor of Christian Education at Columbia Theological Seminary will be the keynote speaker. The retreat will be opened to all those interested between the ages of 21 and 35. Online registration can be found at http://www.montreat.org/2003_yaw.htm
