Over the Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 24-27 in Virginia, Reston, over 200 Chinese Christian leaders with most of them from mainland China gathered to share their hopes for the future of China missions. With the theme, "Building a Glorious Church", the conference consisted of theologians, scholars, pastors, and missionaries, whom united in one heart in hopes of bringing the gospel back to China.

The 2005 Mainland Chinese Ministry Conference was a successful meeting. North America Mainland Chinese Mission and Harvest Chinese Christian were the main organizing parties. Besides them, many North American Chinese churches have also sponsored this gathering. During the conference, NAMCM probed into the four-walls of Chinese Christian community by offering specific-topic workshops, seminars with time for question and answer, and fellowship and testimonial time.

The keynote speakers are Dun Li, chairman of North America Chinese Mission and senior pastor of Los Angeles First Evangelical Church, Boli Zhang, chairman of the North America Chinese Mission (East America) and senior pastor of Harvest Chinese Christian Church, Xiao'an Zhou and Li Zhao and Ping'an Zhu, directors of NAMCM.

This year, NAMCM has planned to begin building regional ministry network in areas with needs: building a long-lasting mutual working relationship among ministries and a mission base, to help become a networking church; build a communication network among basic networking churches, allowing the gradual formation of unity in communication in forming a group and a kingdom ministry network; providing consistent pastoral training conferences and seminars for the basic networking churches or fellowship and periodically assisting the basic networking churches to setup regional evangelistic conferences and retreat gatherings.

In 2001, NAMCM held the first Mainland Chinese Ministry Conference in Colorado. The sponsoring parties are New Life Christian Church and Bridges International. Over 200 people attended.

In 2002, the second Mainland Chinese Ministry Conference was held in North Carolina and it was hosted by Bridges International Ministry and Billy Graham Evangelical Ministry. Approximately 300 people attended.

In 2003, the third Mainland China Ministry Conference was held in Houston, Texas. The sponsoring parties are the Los Angeles First Evangelical Church, Fort Bend Community Church, and Amazing Grace Christian Fellowship. The participating pastoral staff and co-workers numbered to 80 people.

This year, the sponsoring parties are Chinese Gospel Church of Massachusetts, Oversea Chinese Mission Jireh Church of New Jersey, Faith Hope Love Chinese Church of Pennsylvania, Chinese Christian Church and Center at University City of Philadelphia, Montgomery Chinese Christian Church, Northern Virginia Chinese Baptist Mission, Windsor Chinese Alliance Church of Canada, Amazing Grace Christian Fellowship of Vancouver, Canada.
