SAN FRANCISCO- Churches in the United States have responded to the newly published book ‘America, Return to God’ vigorously, the movement is spreading throughout the country.

The ‘America, Return to God’ book project is spearheaded by the Chinese evangelical Rev. Thomas Wang. Featuring 28 highly selected articles by leading Christian figures, such as James Dobson, Ravi Zacharias, Jim Nelson Black, Francis Schaeffer, Carl F. H. Henry, Gary DeMar and David Barton, the 128-pages book has been sent as gifts to 450,000 American leaders of all levels and of all professions on first week of May.

The Great Commission Center International (GCCI) has received many phone calls and emails for enquiries since then. Even though not all of them are very positive and there are people who gave extreme criticism, now the situation has become much more stable, according to the media director of GCCI Chan Fan.

"Many churches and individual come to us and ask to have free copies of the book. Everyday we sent out around a few dozens to a few hundreds. The extreme opinion makers have clamed down also," said Chan Fan.

Since the book is written in English, many people request for Chinese or Spanish versions so as to reach out to the ethnic groups. The GCCI media director said they are going to complete the traditional Chinese edition first and then it will be translated into simplified Chinese also. However, the exact plan is not confirmed. For the Spanish version, he wishes that some Christian organization can offer the translation service.

Since the publication are all distributed for free, so the printing cost has been a great financial burden to GCCI, but coworkers at the GCCI said they will keep following the will of God in publication of this book.

"Although the cost is really high, if the book can be used by God and make this beautiful nation of the United States return to the arms of God, it is worth to use our resources in this way," they said.
