Michael W. Smith and Jars of Clay Support Africa AIDS Crisis Open Public Rally

DATA Organized Rally in Philadelphia This Week

At the end of this week, beginning on Sunday May 16, there will be a free rally that is open to the public to fight against the AIDS crisis in Africa with hosted by DATA and where Bono, Dikembe Mutombo, Michael W. Smith and Jars of Clay will lead worship services. The event is sponsored by World Vision and the president Rich Stearns invites all to participate in this unifying event.

The rally concerns all Americans and diverse organizations, coalitions, and partnered groups whose goals are to fight against AIDS and poverty in Africa and the rest of the world. This event will take place this Sunday on May 16th, at 1:30pm in the Independence Mall by 5th and Market Streets in Philadelphia, PA.

There will also be speakers featuring the U2 lead singer and the co-founder of DATA, Bono, NBA star Dikembe Mutombo, Philadelphia 76'ers President and GM Billy King, Grammy award winning gospel artist Michael W. Smith, Richard Stearns from World Vision, Ugandan Nurse Agnes Nyamayarwo, and David Beckmann (Bread for the World).
