2013 NFL preseason games will conclude with Thursday’s games in week 4. Detroit Lions will be playing against Buffalo Bills at 7:00 PM ET at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, New York.
Detroit Lions, Cutting 22 Players from Team Roster by Saturday
In the week 3 preseason game, the Lions pummeled the New England Patriots. Receiver Reggie Bush ran for a single yard on six carries, but he had five catches for 103 yards in a 40-9 victory.
Because the Lions twice lost key players to injury in the final preseason game, they are very cautious to avoid any significant injuries. In 2003, starting running back James Stewart had a shoulder injury and missed the entire season, and backup quarterback Jeff Garcia broke his leg and was out of the first five games in 2005.
In the game against the Buffalo Bills Thursday night, the players who have not yet secure their place on team roster must give their best performance, for the Lions are trimming 22 players from the roster by Saturday to get to the NFL limit of 53 players.
Buffalo Bills Rebuilding Team Chemistry
Buffalo Bill is rebuilding the team as the organization has hired new head coach Doug Marrone and new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine. Although the team did not do so well in 2013, the team’s quarterback EJ Manual is projected to be able to complete at least 2,704 passing yards, especially with rookie Robert Woods and third-year Marcus Easley in the offense, according to CBS Sports.

Besides watching the games, NFL fans can listen to every games live through NFL’s Audio Pass. With a subscription fee of $39.99, listeners receive access through July 31, 2014 to all 65 preseason games, 256 regular season games, home or away broadcasts, archived games, Spanish broadcasts, and chats.
